As terror filled hearts, Satan smiled. Of course, they wouldn’t call the killer a “terrorist.” But it didn’t matter. Let humans have their petty squabbles over The Meanings of Words. Let them use words as weapons to silence and shame.
Satan’s man had guns.
Guns that spoke in rapid-fire volume.
Guns that, with every pop-pop-pop, said that perfect love — the only thing that drives away terror — had long been gone from the earth.
